Route 272 is serviced by Ryde and Willoughby buses. All buses except articulated buses will operate this route. Before they were retired, Scania L113TRB 14.5m buses also ran this route. There are more morning services than afternoon services, however, all afternoon services proceed to North Willoughby whereas some morning services only start from Laurel Streeet.
